Age of Swords, The Legends of the First Empire, Book 2 – Audiobook

Age of Swords, The Legends of the First Empire, Book 2 – Audiobook by Michael J. Sullivan.

It’s hard to believe it’s Sullivan’s favorite
So far, I’m a huge fan of all of Sullivan’s works, but this book is pretty disappointing.

Things I like:
1. Bring the females forward to take the lead. Love to see it even when aspects of their personality and actions seem odd.
2. See titles from previous series.
3. Really enjoyed the love/hate I have for the elf prince character.

My problem:
1. Wish he could dream up a more reliable way for technological advancement because it’s ridiculous that a ‘genius’ keeps coming up with a new invention and a basically illiterate person invents it. script and then translated the ancient dwarven texts within a few weeks .
2. The main boss battle is so tediously written that I feel compelled to rewind and in the end I just want it to end.
3. It seems that the irritation has poured into each of the characters so much that they are starting to feel a bit homogenized and seem really out of place for some and in some situations.
