My son and I have read all the books in the “Hiccup” series and can’t wait for this latest installment. I gave it to him for Christmas, and together we read it voraciously. Of course, it has great eccentric characters, quick wits and funny elements. But right from the start, this book is a bit different from the previous books in the series. It’s much more dramatic and in some places downright painful. Another reviewer mentioned that one scene brought tears to my eyes – I bet I know exactly what the scene is, because I found myself grabbing tissues too!

This is verbatim from my eight year old son. ‘It’s a very, very good book, but it can be intimidating at times and if you don’t really handle it properly, it might not turn out the way you want it to. You may be surprised for what you get. It’s very stressful.
