Bought this as a nonfiction book to homeschool a 5th grader. We both loved the story and the way it was written. I liked that it opened the door to more in-depth conversations about the topics it covered. My 5th grader likes that it is located in our state and hers are the places mentioned in the book. She also likes that it’s about a girl.

I’m a 12-year-old boy named Carlos Maciel. I really love this book because it has a lot of things and I love how sad the book and other things are because it makes me happy when you understand all that well and I read this book, I have my own genre so I just wanted to say thank you for making me happy with this book.
