I love the series, from the first book to the current one. The firsts are like foreplay, the subsequent additions are overkill 🙂 Anita just really enjoys being a little more daring than the rest of us. LAUGH

I know LKH has received a lot of negative reviews lately, but I love the story. I visited Ted/Ed, one of my favorite characters. I’ve always loved her action scenes and with this little doomsday, rotting zombie, there’s a lot of good. It’s a little hard to keep up with all the Anita lovers, but that’s definitely not something to complain about! 🙂 Hot vampire and man is always a plus in my book. But then I like a little bit of eroticism mixed in with my mystery 🙂 I got to listen to Anita hunt the bad guys, kick her ass, and save the day.

I guess I’m confused with all the negative comments about the direction the series is going. If this is the direction LKH wants to go and she is happy in her world, then stop using your credits to pay the price of recognition. The rest of us are just happy to be there. 🙂

Oh, and Kimberly Alexis, I really love your voice. Your Anita voice is great!

This book is much better because of the whining and whining about her (Anita) being a diehard and the succubus being less tough than the other books. Anita’s acceptance of her gifts and the loves of her life-and how she must use them-make this book so much easier to listen to. I figured out how she would have to make this work (like a fire) in about halfway. It is just reasonable. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who has been a fan and has given up on frustration over the lack of sexual insecurity and moral judgment. It has become too old. This is like a fresh start.

Normally, I like the narrator, but this time, she or the sound engineers skipped, especially with Edward. He said WAY to high school instead of the sociology we all know and love. Pitch, intonation, and emotional expression are off. Men’s ‘voice’ in Skin Trade is better and more consistent. This recording looks like it was made in a number of different studios as it ‘soars’ throughout the book.
