Anxious People by Fredrik Backman is a fictional novel with great humor. This thing defines the writer. The book in its audio version is narrated by Marin Ireland. It turned out to be quite good and entertaining for the audience.

An open house of an apartment suddenly becomes what you see when a failed bank robbery attempt happens. It a group of people (strangers) as hostages. The captives in this case included a retired couple, a wealthy director of a bank, and an 87 years old woman. Among others were a real estate agent and a mystery man who locked himself in the bathroom of the apartment.

There were a total of 8 hostages and this was the first-ever group of people to have as hostages. All of these people were carrying a lifetime of secrets, hurts, grievances, and passion. All this stuff from them was ready to boil over.

Not even a single one of them was entirely what they actually appear to be. Just as the media and the authorities surrounded the premises, they started to reveal some astonishing secrets about themselves. This triggered a chain of events which even these hostages couldn’t explain that what is next in line for them.

Anxious people is an exciting poignant novel that tells a story about a crime that didn’t happened in the first place. Try this for nonstop entertainment and you would surely love it.
