The Mother of Darkness – the first vampire – wants to enter a new human body… and the person she thinks about belongs to Anita Blake.

Hamilton used to be one of my favorite authors. I started with the Anita Blake series and loved the stories… and then the sex kicks in and seems to open up a kind of pandora box for sex afterwards. And I agree with some of the comments, men are starting to act like Anita’s male harem.
The narrator doesn’t help either. She makes most men sound like unintelligent surfers. The only charm is that the men have a French accent. I really liked how she really accentuated them and really brought out the character.
