Now after witnessing City of Bones and City of Ashes she plans to go to the City of Glass where she could find some help from the ancient Shadowhunters. According to the custom and law of the land she is not allowed to enter the city but she does not care even if Jace stands against her. Shadowhunters in the city have also arrested Simon as he has turned into a vampire now.

Somehow Clary gets a chance to enter the city and finds both enemies and allies in it. For the first time since the battle started Clary finds hope in the form of Sebastian. Together the two forge a plan to defeat the being known as Valentine. Jace and Clary try to bring together the Downworlders and Shadowhunters together which seems to be impossible but that remains the only way through which they can all survive. Cassandra Clare brings more and more action into these parts after the revelation of different mysteries associated with Clary’s family.

During the narration Natalie Moore this time gives more attention to Jace who is the only one in this entire situation who is thinking about Clary only. All the other characters are worried about their safety and are not thinking about the people present close to them. War will take more lives unless Clary understands her role fully between all of this.
