Fighting against enemies is tough but fighting against a family or those bound to you by blood is tougher. Clary in the first book of “Mortal Instruments” came to know that her biggest enemy was the one who was the cause of her birth i.e her father.

For many years she along with the Shadowhunters continued to fight against the forces of Valentine after which finally the day came when she successfully defeated the evil. Her body and soul didn’t get any peace even after the finale as she continued facing more and more evil present on the land. Again with the help of Jace and Simon the girl faces another enemy which is undefeatable.

Sebastian who happens to be Clary’s brother is the root cause of all evil now. No weapon on earth can kill this devil-like creature that has started walking on the path once selected by his father. Cassandra Clare in City of Bones and City of Ashes already told us that Sebastian was with Clary only to defeat Valentine. Now the demon is out of the way and Sebastian can rule both worlds with his dark powers. The realm of demons possesses some hope for Clary and Jace but threats of that realm are greater than the chance of success.

Jason Dohring and Sophie Turner get a chance to narrate different characters during the progress of the story which on one or two occasions confuse the listener a little. Entertainment is not lessened still in any of the chapters of this wonderful book.  Sentiments for the family arouse in Clary once again in this part but she prefers her duty over her emotions.
