Drawing Conclusions is the 20th mystery novel in the Commissario Brunetti Mysteries series by Donna Leon.
A dead woman was found in a Spartan apartment on Campo San Giacomo dell’Orio. Brunetti saw some signs of force on the old woman, but they could easily have come from the radiator near where she fell. When the medical examiner concluded that the woman died of a heart attack, there seemed to be nothing to investigate.

Conversations with the woman’s son, her upstairs neighbor, and the nun in charge of the old house, where she volunteered, did little to satisfy Brunetti’s nagging curiosity. With the help of the always resourceful Inspector Vianello and Signorina Elettra, perhaps Brunetti can come to the truth and find some measure of justice.
