Empire High Untouchables is the first love book in the Empire High series by author Ivy Smoak.

The nickname probably comes from the fact that they are rich. But you can tell by the way they carry themselves. Or maybe the name just refers to the fact that they are so beautiful that it’s almost impossible to look at them.

Brooklyn is a 16-year-old high school boy whose mother recently passed away so she moved from Delaware to New York to live with her uncle Jim because her father hasn’t appeared in her entire life. Jim is the only family she has left. Jim is a janitor at a school for the wealthiest kids so Brooklyn gets free admission to the elite high school due to that family connection. Four boys at the school make up Untouchables.

Attractive, rich, famous boys, one of them is Matthew. There’s just something about him that Brooklyn is losing himself even though he doesn’t even know she exists. Except when he knows who she is, as evident by how he helped her when her arm was cut off on a job. At some point in the book, we featured a trailer in which Brooklyn was related to one of the kids at school.
