Again Malcolm does not use any other narrator and narrates the whole thing on his own, conveying the idea of outliers in the best possible way. The title tells the whole tale actually, the author makes us meet the outliers i.e those who are not normal according to many because their minds don’t work on the routine pattern of average people.

The author went to several successful people for an interview before writing this book and then pasted their answers in the chapters. The main question is what are things that make successful people different from a common man and the answer is simple one i.e they don’t think like the common man.

A common man wastes his time on stupid things while analyzing a person, things like the skin tone or family background has no relation to business and economics. Our old way of thinking stops us from stepping into the light of success and we spend our life like a caged bird dreaming about freedom everyday all the day.

This is not all, there are stories about several successful people in the book and Malcolm tells us how they rose in their careers and their earnings. Along with these things there is a lot of talk about luck and chance that helped many to rise more than their potential or dreams.
