Novel is about Quincy Carpenter who lost a lot ten years ago in an incident that she does not want to remember even at this stage of her life. She was in Pine Cottage with friends and a terrible killing left her in a wounded condition, still she was lucky because the rest of the five fellows turned into dead bodies. 

The news spread like wildfire in the media and soon she was introduced with two other girls Lisa and Sam who also went through the same circumstances. The media named these girls as the Final Girls because they were the sole survivors of the terrible incidents. 

Although the media want the three together but Quincy in order to get rid of all the fuss never establishes a bond with the two. A decade later Quincy is well settled and she has a loving boyfriend and a nice place to live.

Now she does not try to remember the person whom she used to imagine as Him because that nightmare is over according to her. At this point the author Riley Sager brings a twist and Quincy finds Sam on her front door with the news that Lisa is found dead in a terrible state.

 The killer is back for the Final Girls and one of them could be his next target. Quincy cannot believe that all she had been through as a little girl is finally coming back to her and the more she tries to erase Sam’s words from her mind the more her information starts becoming true. 

Awesomely narrated by Erin Bennett and Hillary Huber this race against time chilling story like Lock Every Door  and The Last Time I Lied  leaves our hearts pumping to the maximum. We want Quincy to survive but at the same time we want her to look for the real killer that has been hunting the Final Girls for a decade.
