Children usually play hide and seek when they are young and especially if they have the luxury of a big mansion then this is the best fun they can have. Caitlyn Sullivan was also like other kids who like to play hide and seek and do other stuff like that. 

The problem was that she was not an ordinary child at all who could run free everywhere. She belonged to the royalty and she was a star at just the mere age of nine. Being all these things there were threats looming around her all the time but these fears failed to crush her innocent emotions.

 During playing a game of hide and seek in the family home at Big Sur she disappeared all of a sudden but was soon found. Dillon Cooper found her all messed up in blood and she told the family how she was brave enough to fight the abductor and escaped. Her brave act saved her and the one trying to abduct her was arrested by the police.

 When she come to know about the one who tried to kidnap her she felt heartbroken and left the family home. Like Nora Roberts other characters Caitlyn too comes back to face her childhood fears.

 She thinks that she cannot just live in fears all her life and comes back to face from which she once ran. Come Sundown and Montana Sky were also about the courage of the main characters and this time January Lavoy narrates the same type. 

Nora works on the stories really hard and this is why we never get a chance to see any incomplete portion in the novel.
