Hollow City is the second chapter in Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children’s novel series. It is a teen and young adult fiction. 

The book is written by Ransom Riggs who has a good command on the subject matter with some really impressive books to his credit already. If a few of his most prominent books are to be mentioned then The Conference of the Birds and A Map of Days will make a very easy choice for the listeners.

Kirby Heyborne gave the narration for this audiobook. This is his first attempt as a narrator in this series and the performance was not as good as the narrator in the first chapter. You might need some time to get used to with his voice before you start to enjoy it.

This second chapter is set in the era of 1940. This is exactly where the first chapter of Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children’s novel series ended. Managing to escape the island of Miss Peregrine just by the skin of their teeth, Jacob along with his new mates must travel to London.

 It was a place that was known as a highly peculiar capital of the world then. On their way, Jacob and his friends encountered a few more new allies along with a menagerie of animals and some more surprises as well.

This amazing new adventure would cherish fantasy fans of almost all ages. The narrator apart from a slow start managed to move very beautifully among all his characters while producing some amazing British voices.

 The writing from ransom laid the foundation stone and the book overall is a successful venture for the listeners and other stakeholders.
