J.R.R. Tolkien was a renowned English writer, academic, and poet. He was known mostly for his fictional work where he managed to create a huge fan-base for himself. 

The Children of Hurin is one of his special novels. This standalone novel is a science fiction fantasy, which in its audio version got great followership just as the print version of the book. Christopher Lee has done the narration of this chapter. His performance was excellent and did full justice to the writing of Tolkien that also contained some prose.

The first Dark Lord, Morgoth dwelt in the huge fortress of Angband. It was the Hells of Iron on the Northside. The intense tragedy of Turin and Nienor, his sister unfolded the fear of Angband and the war that was initiated by Morgath against the secret places of the Elves. Their passionate and short lives were entirely dominated by the rudimentary hatred that Morgath wiseacre them as the children of Hurin. 

He was the man who dared to scorn and confront him to his face. Against them, Glaurung was deployed, who was his most formidable servant and also a very resourceful spirit in the form of a dragon of fire.  

The book is highly engaging. It builds up slowly and steadily and for that matter, listeners are novel. Overall, the novel is top quality and will be a great literary experience for the listeners.
