(Free Online Audiobook) White Fragility By Robin DiAngelo

Robin DiAngelo loads this book with the issues that stand in the way of racism eradication; racism has been at the core of hatred since the beginning of time. People hate others because of their skin tone and their link to the part of society that is bound to live in the slums.

No one knows why all of this started in the first place and why it is still hard to get rid of. Robin thinks that she knows the truth and he blames the white people for all this injustice that has been going on for centuries.

The writer introduces a word “White Fragility” for this reason and then starts telling the listeners the meaning of this new term. The white people actually don’t like to talk about racism and though they are of the view that they treat everyone equally but this has never remained the case in the countries and continents where the white people live.

For the talk to start about those with colored skin tone first there is a need to bring change in the attitude of the white. The white should start taking this matter seriously and should possess the temperament to listen to what the black people have to say.

Moreover there is a need of showing patience from both sides; anger management might be a good solution to make the whole thing fruitful.  Amy Landon uses a soothing voice for narration and it is the correct way because an aggressive tone would have made the book unbearable for the other side. Books are not good for children who don’t know anything about racism and it is better that they don’t listen about it in the first place.
