Time to go back for the Outlander as she finally knows how to meet her husband once again after twenty years. She has been searching for a way out of this mess for more than two decades and this is the sole thing she ever wanted.

 

But just when she gets the opportunity she fails to decide what to do because in order to meet her husband she had to leave their daughter behind. Only one person can be transported through the doorway to the future and the family would once again be incomplete if the daughter stays. 

Though Claire loved her husband more than anything and he was the one he cared for all the time but now is their daughter the very evidence of their love relationship. After Outlander and Dragonfly in Amber we thought that it was time for Claire to leave Scotland but the trilogy does not seem to be the end of Diana Gabaldon’s masterpiece. 

There is more sensation in Davina Porter’s voice as compared to the other two books and we can feel the desperation of the characters through the narration. Romance takes a new turn as it is not between the husband and wife anymore, the love of the daughter surpasses everything and though she never tries to stop her mother still the affection and love knits a strong bond. 

The daughter knows that the parents should be together at this stage of life and he should not be a hurdle but he is the very bond because of which the relation exists. If she is lost than there is nothing left for the parents to talk about.
