In Truth and Claw is the fourth science fiction book in the Mick Oberon series by author Ari Marmell.

Mick Oberon might have looked like another 1930s private detective. Beneath his fedora and overcoat, he had pointy ears and he was carrying a wand.

Of course, Mick Oberon never encountered easy cases. Well, maybe he does, but we students don’t get to hear about the times when it’s all about sharing, everything is like a rose.

We met Mick when all the roses wilted into a mixed pile.

Unlike things were great to start with; At the end of the previous book, Mick had just released his curse coming from a supposed DIE, the most evil witch target he had ever met during his years of fraud: Dame Orsola.
