Monster Hunter Memoirs: Grunge (Full Audiobook) by John Ringo, Larry Correia

John Ringo joins Larry Correia’s monster world as both present the first book of the monster hunter memories. The tales about these monsters now seem to get wicked all the time. Still they are appealing to the mind if not the soul.

And that has been the tendency of the writer throughout the monster hunter series as well he never tries to bring out innocence in his characters. The emergence of the hero is also shown as if a bigger devil has appeared on the scene to eat up all the little guys. 

Oliver Chadwick the marine is given the second chance this time to bring havoc in the monster world. Oliver gets killed at the start during a mission and then is given a choice to select between the heaven and the mission. The marine takes his job more seriously than ever as he feels that he is the chosen one. He is the one who is selected by God in order to protect the innocent and slaughter those who prove to be a threat for the human race.

The Monster Hunters International is back in business in the same way that we saw in Monster Hunter Memoirs: Saints and Monster Hunter Memoirs: Sinners. Chad joins the group and makes himself ready for the allotted mission. The missions are tougher than before and that has been the pattern of the whole series throughout since the very beginning.

Oliver Wyman has done one or two experiments with the female voices but the rest of the narration is smooth like always. The pitch also is less pinching that provides a soothing effect during listening.
