Mozart in the Jungle/ Sex, Drugs, and Classical Music – Audiobook Online Free

Mozart in the Jungle is an art book by Blair Tindall.
Mozart in the Jungle delves into the lives of musicians and conductors living in the isolated world of classical music.

The book that inspired the Amazon original series starring Gael Garcia Bernal and Malcolm McDowell, oboist Blair Tindall recounts her decades-long professional career as a classical musician dictionary. From recitals and Broadway orchestras to the secret lives of musicians who live by word of mouth. in New York’s classical music scene, trading sex for lucrative jobs and duties in orchestras across the city. Tindall and her companions are musicians who often play drunk, drunk or hopelessly drunk, live in squalid apartments, and perform in dangerous conditions. Working-class musicians, who roam the city amid low-paid gigs, have no health care benefits or retirement plans. A stark contrast to the rare experiences of well-paid classical musician superstars.

Mozart in the Jungle is the first authentic, behind-the-scenes look at what goes on behind the scenes and on Broadway.

This kindlebook that is Mozart In The Jungle by Blair Tindall definitely intrigued me to consider watching the tv series that this kindlebook is apparently linked to because of the way that the author relates her story in this kindlebook. I’m intuitively aware that I am very much outside the intended audience for this kindlebook, however the author’s honesty on how she senses a multiple number of professional opportunities came her way was refreshing considering it is far from common and common knowledge that is more socially accepted for a person to do the complete opposite of admitting any scandalous ways of garnering certain lucrative opportunities.

The list of lovers and female friends that she knew in her life definitely add to the spice and sizzle in this kindlebook. Additionally, she acknowledges and is truthful with how she utilized the resources of her youth and physical appearance to her advantage when she was able to, though she also paints the harsh reality of where even some of the young males were far from safe of some the factors she was dealing with when she enrolled in a private music school during her teen years. She also candidly shares how old she was when she made a major career leap just as her income was starting to rise even more in her music career, this alone was therapeutic to me because she made a major career/money leap around the same age bracket that I am currently in and I myself have been on various after tax monthly income spectrums (with knowing what it has felt like to make at least 3000 dollars a month after taxes to still being aware of how lucky I am though feeling that 1400 to 2000 dollars a month after taxes is also abundant).

Additionally, as a married woman with an angelic/sweet husband, I actually felt compassion for why the author confessed to why at one point in her life she was juggling two married men knowing full well that one of her married lovers was going to stay married with his wife even with being in a long distance marriage (from the way the author described one of the long distance marriages was for economic/job reasons had little to do with her-the author- being in her married lover’s life). The author’s brave account of some of the details in her life help me intuitively understand and guess why there is a tv show related to what is described in this kindlebook that is Mozart In The Jungle by Blair Tindall.
