Murder in Mesopotamia – Audiobook Online Free
Murder in Mesopotamia is the 14th novel in the Hercule Poirot Mysteries series by author Agatha Christie.
Nurse Amy Leatheran has never felt the appeal of the “mystical East”. She still accepts the assignment at Hassanieh, an ancient site deep in the Iraqi desert, to take care of the wife of a famous archaeologist. Ms. Leidner is suffering from bizarre images and mental terror.
“I’m afraid of being killed!” she admitted to her nurse. Her fears were anything but unfounded, and nurse Leatheran was soon without a patient.
The world’s greatest detective is near again: after concluding a mission in Syria, and curious about the excavations in Hassanieh, Hercule Poirot arrives just in time to lead a murder investigation that will tax even his extraordinary powers. A part of the world that has seen more than bad accidents and bad play.
Amy Leatheran is a nurse recruited to take care of Louise Leidner. She was not right and was hallucinating and convinced that someone would hurt her. Set at an excavation site in Hassanieh, the archaeological team is not what they seem and tensions can be cut with a knife. There is bound to be a murder and Poirot is called in to solve the most difficult puzzle where murder is a habit.
I really love this one. I have a half suspicion that I watched this movie at some point but I can’t remember the details, which means I watched this new movie and was hopelessly fascinated by it. Christie has staged this brilliantly, I can really picture the setting, the location digging in the heat of the desert, the characters perfectly described to us and the answer to the question. This quiz is ingenious!
I love my Christie books this year and accompanying Agatha.
