I swear to god Lexi Blake weaved a hell of a story. I consider each of her characters a friend, I avidly follow their sorrows and happiness, and I have a rich enough social life with a multitude of interests that make spending time reading feel good. as a luxury escape.
Ian Taggart is the epitome of the alpha male with a huge potential for compassion and love and to have met him so much in this book was a real pleasure.
I wasn’t about to reveal any plot details, but the series ended with a bang. There is a lot of plot and action, the plot is well thought out and executed correctly.

The characters are completely believable, the background is explained so clearly that you can see it. No unnecessary plot equipment means the story flows smoothly.
To get the best reading out of the book, you really need to read the series, in fact you should read the Masters and Mercenaries series because that’s where it all begins. Lexi has weaved storylines for years with book after book not only providing BDSM-themed romance but also building a family to share with readers.
