There are so many reactions that people have when faced with these situations, it is impossible to cover them all. However, I was a bit disappointed as I expected the collection to examine the term ‘rape culture’ more deeply. There are glimpses of it in personal accounts but I feel that anyone who wants to know what ‘rape culture’ really means will not be as confused reading it as it was at first. It is a difficult book to read but the topic needs to be discussed, it is a pity that this particular book has missed the mark on me.
