My biggest problem is that when the eon-long, plot-heavy, high-complexity novels come out over a 2-year period, I spend the first third of the book just trying to catch up. what happened in the previous book. Considering I’ve read almost a hundred books from one to the last, and Lostetter doesn’t really take the time to remind the reader of the plot(s), it took me a long time to get back to Noumeon’s path. My recommendation is to read the trilogy together.
That being said, Lostetter once again delivers a multi-plot, multi-generational, protracted story that attempts to wrap up the entire Noumeon saga.
