Lots of monsters in Anita Blake’s life. And some of them are human. One such individual is the man she calls Edward, a bounty hunter who specializes in the extraordinary. He calls her in to help him hunt down the biggest evil she’s ever encountered – the one that kills, cripples, and disappears into the night. Something Anita would have to face alone.

This is the book 9 Anita Blake Series. I think it is one of the best. The favor she owes Edward, the assassin is called in. He is scared and He has a small family. This story includes vampires acting as Gods, changers, gunfights, brutal kidnappings, ancient artifacts, and evil villains. All wrapped in Anita style. It’s one of the best things about Anita’s genderless likes.

I loved these books when I first started reading them because I liked the balance between adult themes and violence but as the series goes on, it increasingly highlights Anita’s obsession with sex. It’s about her finding work and taking down evil vampires! Shame really when they started so well…..
Not everyone wants to read a book about vampires/super hunters that kill more vampires than they kill!
If I wanted to read porn, I would have bought it!
