Off Armageddon Reef is the first science fiction book in the Safehold series by author David Weber. The book’s content is about Invention, progress, change… all forbidden. Humanity is in hiding. The present is to change all that. When the Earth is besieged by an enemy that humans cannot defeat, humanity makes one final roll of the dice. Operation Ark and no high-tech infrastructure whose emissions affect its location. The commander of that Expedition, Nimue Alban, awoke in a cave on the planet called Safehold. She knew that the fanatical manager of Operation Ark had used mind control techniques to create a false religion. They brutally repress with the whole purpose of banning invention and innovation forever.

A small part of the leadership of Operation Ark remembers the truth and believes in dignity and freedom. They provide Nimue Alban with a carefully concealed cache of cyborg body technology and abilities, which holds her memories, loves, and dreams. Her job is to somehow rekindle the technological progress, freedom of thought, and belief that the Church of God has been waiting to work for centuries to crush.

They never even communicated with the human spacecraft they encountered. Gbaba simply destroyed every ship and every colony they found. In desperation, the last fleet of human spaceships goes a little wrong to save the last flotilla of terrain mining and colonization. The theory is that the continuous flight will remove the last humans from the sphere of influence of the aliens. Develop technology to defeat the aliens once and for all, for the safety of humanity and any other peaceful intelligent species that may flourish. He designed The Church of God Awaiting and its scriptures to keep advanced technology from ever arising again. He established the Inquisition to enforce these religious laws.

02- Weber isn’t afraid to kill characters, characters we’ve come to know and love. He uses it to push the story forward. We are witnessing scientists discovering new turning points. Some ideas that have never been successful on our Earth are actually gaining traction on Safehold and taking things in a unique direction. This is considered an alternate history, even though it takes place on a completely different planet.  This is my first Weber book, the greatness of science fiction mixed with fake jokes. Earth is attacked by aliens and must send the last fleet as far as possible. Weber used the church to reduce the normal promotion instincts of MAns. Without electricity, the evil aliens cannot find humans and the species that have disappeared will not go the way of the dinosaurs. This is an exercise that describes the fire power of the navy combined with how you will take down a rotten church in a sci-fi movie.
