Between preparing the library for the holidays and sorting out the feelings of ex-boyfriend Captain Mike Sullivan and her new lover, actor Robbie Vine, Lindsey is busy. The mysterious disappearance of her worldwide playboy brother takes precedence above all else.

Fearing that involving the police could cause trouble for Jack, Lindsey tackles the matter on her own. When her search for her brother draws her into a strange case involving business dealings in South America and a strange and mysterious woman, it will take the help of both. Her library book club – the craftsmen – and her eager pursuers want to please her.

I’ve read Jenn McKinley’s other books in the Library Lovers series and enjoyed most of them. There was a time when I got tired of the love interest angle but in this book the author takes that to a very humorous level and it really works. This story is different in that it involves Jenn’s brother, who is involved in the international conspiracy. Hard to believe – but that also works great. This is my favorite book in the series. I like all the characters in this small town.

Also, I’ve lived in New England and other cold climates for a long time, and although I’ve never been a fan of winter, it makes me very nostalgic reading about the fresh air. health, snow, scarves, boots, wind, etc. Also about the warm hot chocolate and the fireplace. When the power went out in one of the books, I felt really cold. You always feel the fact that you are near the coast and can practically smell and feel the ocean in the air.
