Ruby is determined to give her daughters a well-deserved Christmas. She can put up with their father long enough to make that happen.

Are they both willing to put their stubborn pride aside, or will they risk losing an unwrapped gift: each other?

Once upon a time Laura Barnard’s wish provided a cozy, warm feel with all the fun anger of an enemy turned lover story. Ruby is a breath of fresh air to the Rochester family and you can’t help but fall in love with this hot-tempered and caring heroine as she stirs things up for the handsome and brooding Barclay and his young girls.

With great speed, witty banter, heart-warming laugh moments, engaging dose, and great characters you can easily connect and pass behind, you’ll fly through the Once Upon a Time like I did and it’s gratifying to watch this uplifting story about family and relationships.

Overall, the narrator did a great job however I found some of the voices she put on the peripheral characters and Ruby’s inner monologue a bit too much but I still really enjoyed the romantic comedy about Single parents, hate this love.

If you’re looking for a book that gets you into the festive spirit with romance in the process, I highly recommend checking out Once Upon a Wish-Mas… though really, I’m glad I did. listen to this beautiful story all year round!
