The narration for this novel has been performed by Daniel Whitner and Kevin O’Rourke. While there is nothing wrong with their performance, in a nutshell, the listeners were acquainted with the voice of Peter Jay Fernandez. Thus, adjusting to their voice takes a little bit of time.

Detective Alex is not one to believe in the existence of vampires. However, his beliefs are shaken when he discovers two joggers slain in a manner reminiscent of a macabre ritual. There is someone out there who believes in vampires enough to be doing their evil bidding. The horrifying work appears to be of someone with such beliefs. Local police are out of their depth, even the FBI is shaken up.

Cross takes on the case and dives into a world full of secret clubs and play-actors. Someone among them has crossed the line from dark ritual to committing actual cold-blooded murder. Meanwhile, Alex is also being stalked by a rival from the past known as the Mastermind. Cross will be tested like never before. It will take all his resolve to survive the impending doom.

This story goes a bit on the supernatural theme by talking about vampires or those people who present themselves as vampires. The characters in this novel are very dynamic and appear to be very realistic. This book can also appeal to fans of the horror and fantasy genre.
