Eight years after the world changed forever, Sanctuary and the surrounding settlements have settled into their new way of life. The events of Andorra were a distant memory, they were safe… or at least they thought so.

As Leah recounts their ups and downs, memories of that fateful day flood back. The day of violence from the sea visited them in a way they could never have foreseen. The way their entire lives are threatened, and she’s forced to fight more than just invaders to keep her people, her family, and herself safe.

Leah discovers something that will change her life forever.

The author tries to distract the reader from the lack of depth of the plot with brutal, extreme acts of violence. The pirates are depicted as completely ignorant and without reason, yet they still manage to operate and control a huge fuel tanker. They live by their mouths, but never speak of lack or hunger, etc.
The conclusion is especially humorous in that our heroine attacks the pirates with one hand. I’m not going to ruin a plot by mentioning how.
It was good while it lasted, but now it’s time to end the series if the author can’t be bothered to invest the time and effort.
