Poison Jungle/ Wings of Fire, Book 13 – Audiobook Online

The Poison Jungle is the thirteenth book in the popular fantasy series Wings of Fire written by Tui T. Sutherland. It was published on July 30, 2019, and continues the epic adventures of the dragon tribes of Pyrrhia.

In this installment, the story focuses on Sundew, a LeafWing dragon who is determined to overthrow Queen Wasp, the tyrannical ruler of the HiveWings. Sundew and her friends from the Jade Mountain Academy embark on a dangerous mission to infiltrate the HiveWing kingdom and put an end to Queen Wasp’s oppressive reign.

The book begins with Sundew and her friends discovering a hidden tunnel that leads to the Poison Jungle, a treacherous and deadly place filled with dangerous plants and creatures. They believe that within this jungle lies a secret that could help them defeat Queen Wasp. As they venture deeper into the jungle, they encounter various challenges and face life-threatening situations.

Throughout their journey, Sundew and her friends encounter new allies and enemies. They meet Cricket, a HiveWing dragon who has been living in exile due to her unusual abilities. Cricket joins their cause and becomes an integral part of their mission.

As they navigate through the Poison Jungle, Sundew and her friends uncover shocking secrets about Queen Wasp’s rule and the origins of the LeafWings. They learn about a powerful plant called the Breath of Evil, which Queen Wasp plans to use to control all dragon tribes.

Sundew’s determination to save her tribe drives her forward, even as she faces internal conflicts and doubts about her own abilities. She must confront her past and make difficult choices that will impact not only herself but also the fate of all dragonkind.

In their quest to stop Queen Wasp, Sundew and her friends face numerous obstacles, including battles with other dragons, encounters with deadly plants, and the constant threat of betrayal. The stakes are high, and the fate of Pyrrhia hangs in the balance.

The Poison Jungle explores themes of friendship, loyalty, and the struggle against oppression. It delves into the complexities of power and the consequences of unchecked authority. The book also highlights the importance of unity and standing up for what is right, even in the face of overwhelming odds.

Overall, The Poison Jungle is a thrilling addition to the Wings of Fire series, filled with suspense, action, and emotional depth. It continues to captivate readers with its rich world-building, complex characters, and thought-provoking themes.

Some secrets are deadly. It’s no secret that Sundew wants to destroy the HiveWings. Her life’s mission is to exact revenge on the tribe that tried to wipe out the LeafWings and rip off every tree on the surface of Pantala.

Every tree, except for the wild and dangerous Poison Forest, where the surviving LeafWings hid after the war. Conceal, plot and wait for a dragon like Sundew, who has the unique ability to take down the Hive.

However, there are dark secrets in the forest – some that Sundew is keeping, and some that she is just beginning to uncover. And now that a new war is upon them, Sundew and her friends must unearth the forest’s oldest secret – even if what they find has the power to destroy them all.

I’ve loved this series since the second book and have read each one at least three times. But I am afraid that the audio reader will not be good at all. I was proven completely wrong because she is the best reader I have ever heard. She’s funny and has good storytelling while bringing new and interesting voices to the characters. Exactly ten stars

I stayed up until 4am listening to it and I loved it so much I felt like I was about to explode with fear. I love the willow and the chayote and the bumblebee really loves the rubber tree and the way she talks is so cute and funny. I mean who doesn’t like bumblebees? I can’t wait until I’m 14, but the ice queen is getting a bit overboard with her paranoia. I don’t think 2 tribes running away from an evil plant will attack and drive MANY creatures mad. anyways, keep on sutherland

This book is wonderful. My heart melts when I hear wasps say “snudo”. I think Sundo being gay added to the story and to anyone who’s saying it’s “inappropriate” there are plenty of gay dragons out there, so why are you saying that now! Plus, it’s offensive to gay people.
