I thought she hit it off with the first book but this one instantly became my favorite. When we left Evie in book one, she was the one who didn’t want the crown, but ended up taking it because her revenge needed it. She is the winter queen with a flair of her own. Watching her battle repeated assassination attempts, a hostile foreign court blames her for the death of their beloved prince while having to choose between her country and the people of the world. The man she loves is phenomenal and I’m so proud of my maturity. Can’t wait to see how she deals with Morgan’s and the Bastard Brigade in Crush the King.
