When a group of local campers are attacked by something with fangs, Jane switches from escort to investigator. Is it a rogue vampire, shapeshifter or witch? Or something else magical? Unless she wants to face a very angry master vampire, she will have to work overtime to find the killer. It’s good that she’s worth every penny.

This is the 4th book in Hunter’s Jane Yellowrock series. The fifth book, Death’s Rival: A Jane Yellowrock Novel, is due out in late 2012. You’ll definitely want to read the previous books in the series before reading this one, although Hunter did a pretty good job of providing enough information. Basic to help you memorize.

While there, Jane stumbles upon a series of murders that appear to have been committed by werewolves. Things are already tense enough as they are, and random deaths are making things worse. Jane needs to find out the cause and causes of these deaths, but all of that can lead to Jane’s past. Imagine’s Jane is surprised to discover that witches can get caught up in the whole mess, too.
