I’ve read this a few times, and maybe I’m just too petty in real life but what I’ve always struggled with every time is how her brother was able to suddenly kill his own loved one. himself and abandoned his family. It’s not that he’s unloved, and I understand that he has a bond built on surviving and a delicate balance of winning trust with his new but damned family. Just forget all about them. What a blow… Her bitterness and hurt made my heart bleed and the fact that she forgave him was something I struggled with. This was never really explained in a meaningful way.

On the other hand, I enjoyed it very much, it’s a black love story that burns and fades. Wish this was a double shot, we could dig more from the male lead to better understand his head position.

I got this book by accident. It’s in every book page post, book page video, and subscription box. So it must be good right?
It was a lot better then just “good”. I don’t know what this book will turn into. It always makes me guess. And as the title says, the main character is not the chosen one and that makes my heart flutter.
