Summoner 14 is the 14th science fiction book in the Summoner series by author Eric Vall.
Gryff has gained new powers and a new shape-shifting wife. His impromptu vacation is over. When his Mistral friends found him again, they informed him that Varleth was still missing and that Archon Veopa had awakened in Vay country. Now, it’s Gryff’s quest to find his friend and hopefully bring peace to the shape-shifting territories.

I was surprised to see Gryff go further South and find new people with new powers. The beginning, middle and end are amazing. Closely linked together in a story that may eventually bring Gryff home. I want to say, “Well done,” to the author for his great work. There is always a tactic, strategy or reason to fight for the main character and he doesn’t seem to get his power out of nowhere and acts like a god. He must develop a plan to keep most, if not all people alive. It is just wonderful.

I love this series and the latest addition just adds to it more and more.
While some of the ongoing mysteries surrounding Gryff’s past remain elusive, Eric Valls’ use of disjointed information keeps the reader constantly searching for more.
Powers and abilities that Gryff is learning to use and, in an attempt to avoid spoilers, I enjoy the interaction between Gryff’s lovers and the latest to join them on their travels.
