This is my first Vivienne Lorret book. I liked the balance of this book (and its characters) but still had the full impact of an inspiring love story. Editing issues are very minor (not really important to me but for some readers maybe). I love how the jokes are light and funny and how the plot makes me sigh and just feel happy reading this book.

The original hero in the sense that he is a parasite and is teased but he has a sense of humor and an innate self-esteem/courage. He’s not the typical overwhelmingly handsome adonis but he has the power of presence. The heroine is as innocent as the sun. She is idealistic, funny, genuine, honest and open. The development of the characters from the moment they met was seamless. There are sex scenes in this book, but there are no overly offensive or vulgar images. The main and supporting characters complement each other very well. The way the hero tries to get the heroine back is something that’s really worth reading.
