Gun lobbyist Charlotte Holmes is one of Florida’s 29 electors who are bound by law and sworn to vote for MacLeod, who won Florida by a narrow margin. When Charlotte announced that she intended to vote in her conscience and throw the Electoral College to Stahl, the president and his Florida machine took her to court on charges – which for a number of people, this punishment is not nearly enough.

Miami Attorney Jack Swyteck will use every legal means possible to keep his new client free – and alive. The prosecutor chosen by MacLeod is determined to prove Charlotte unfit to vote.

As the pressure mounts, Charlotte and Jack must decide how far they will go to keep their stand on the ground.
