The Death Trade By Jack HHiggins – Audiobook Online

The Death Trade by Jack Higgins is a thriller novel that follows retired IRA gunman, Sean Dillon, as he is recruited by British intelligence to stop a wealthy businessman and arms dealer, Tariq al-Hourani, from selling powerful arms to a rogue state. Along with his team of mercenaries, Dillon travels to the Middle East and Europe to track down al-Hourani and stop his deadly arms trade. However, they soon discover that al-Hourani is backed by a powerful criminal organization, and they must fight against them in a dangerous battle for survival. With action-packed gunfights, espionage, and political intrigue, The Death Trade is a suspenseful tale of international terrorism and high-stakes espionage.

The master of suspense returns, with a fiercely refreshing tale of international terrorism and individual heroism.

“Jack Higgins has written some of the best suspense novels of the past 50 years,” wrote The San Diego Union-Tribune. And in The Death Trade, he does it again.

A brilliant Iranian scientist has made an amazing breakthrough in nuclear weapons research, but he can’t stand the thought of his country possessing the bomb. He would run if he could, but if he ran, his family would die. He’s desperate, he doesn’t know what to do.

Coming up with a plan is up to Sean Dillon and the rest of the small band known as the “Prime Minister’s private army”. Most especially, it’s up to their newest member, an Afghan war hero and intelligence captain named Sara Gideon, who thinks there might be a way to do it.

But plans always have a way of dealing with the unexpected. And as the operation unfolded, from Paris and Syria to Iran and the deserts of Saudi Arabia, there were indeed plenty of surprises. And much blood will be shed.

Filled with events, fueled by complex and passionate characters, The Death Trade is a remarkable novel by the “dean of intrigue novelists” (St. Louis Post-Dispatch).

I’m kind of excited to find out what comes next. Especially for the characters of Sara Gideon and Billy Slater. As they both seem to come in to there own in this book especially the Sara Gideon character. I highly recommend this book as do I all Jack Higgins works.
