“The Emperor’s Legion” follows the story of the Adeptus Custodes, an elite group of soldiers who protect the Emperor of Mankind. The book takes place during the aftermath of the events of the book “Watchers of the Throne,” where the Emperor’s palace on Terra was attacked by the forces of Chaos. The Custodes are tasked with finding out who was responsible for the attack and discovering any potential traitors within the palace walls. Along the way, they encounter various challenges and obstacles, including political intrigue, assassination attempts, and battles against both Chaos and xenos forces. Throughout the novel, the Custodes must also confront their own beliefs and loyalties as they struggle to remain true to their duty and the Emperor’s vision for humanity.

Enjoyed this story, it has a good mix of narration and openness. I would suggest this to anyone who wants to know more about how Custodes and Null Maidens think.
