Another great work by Mr Silva, a fascinating story that spans many countries and involves most of the evil empires of the world. It’s all delivered in that particular way, with the breathless, almost comical presentation characteristic of George Guidall, whom all of us avid Allon followers have come to associate with the idea. how to be the real character of the Spy Master.

The English Spy brought back one of my favorite Silva characters, the British assassin and former spy living in Corsica, and “re-educate” him for a British spy agency. Gabriel Allon, now in his 50s, simply gets better with age. He is supposed to take the helm of the bureau, an Israeli spy agency, but we’ll have to wait for Silva’s next book to see.

Of all the well-read mystery/horror series, Silva’s Allon is the most complex and tragic. But with the children born to him and his young wife Chiara at the end of The English Spy, there is still hope. The tragic Leah is still in the picture.

This book claims that Daniel Silva is a master of the mystery/horror/spy genre if there is still doubt.

George Guidall has the most pleasant voice of all storytellers. He is, as always, excellent.
