The Full Cupboard Of Life / The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, Book 5, Audiobook Online By: Alexander McCall Smith

The #1 Women’s Detective Agency series by New York Times bestselling author Alexander McCall Smith continues in this gripping book that won the first Saga Award for Wit, awarded for the most witty British book of the year.

Mma Ramotswe is engaged to Mr. J.L.B. Matekoni has been around for quite some time and they still don’t have a wedding date. But she doesn’t want to get too cocky, because Mr. J.L.B. Matekoni has many things on his mind. Mma Potokwani, who runs the orphanage, tricked him into making a parachute jump to raise funds for charity. While Mr. J.L.B. As Matekoni tries to shirk his responsibilities, Mma Ramotswe continues to busily investigate four men, all of whom want to marry a very wealthy woman. What exactly are their intentions.

Life’s closet is literally full in this charming, light-hearted comedy that vividly captures Botswana’s fascinating landscape and culture.

As usual, Alexander McCall Smith delivers a good book in the Ladies Detective Agency series #1. I’m always amazed that a man has written these stories, and a man white, not african there! This is a great look at Botswana’s culture and the lively, funny and poignant characters Smith has created and stays fresh and alive.

You don’t always find a story that makes you feel good. No sex, violence or tense storyline. I enjoyed this book and will definitely listen to the next one in the series. The narrator also does a great job.
