The Girl Who Played With Fire (Full Audiobook) By Stieg Larsson
Millennium series’ first part left a lot of drama incomplete in the imaginations. The case was solved by the journalist and the tattooed girl but not much was there about these two in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The inquisitiveness created by Stieg Larsson is enhanced in this one as the second serious case about human trafficking emerges in a rather busy part of the world. The trafficking is not the sole issue to deal with for the number one journalist of the Millennium magazine.
Two of Mikael’s colleagues have been killed who were investigating the case on a serious note and the unexpected situation is that Lisbeth is said to be the killer. Considering it impossibility Mikael starts the investigation and thus comes the thing that the audience wanted to hear for a long time i.e the past of the mysterious lady.
The girl had a criminal background but not like the one the investigating officers were thinking. She had been on target all the time but the targets were never innocent people; she has been killing those who are on the wrong side. Saul Reichlin has done better narration and the errors have been erased along with the issues that are resolved.
Second part moves on two levels and the plot gets complex, there are some places where the listener fails to comprehend that whether the sex trafficking is important or Lisbeth’s life. In the end both get a little mixed up, still no sluggishness by the author and the narrator, the scenes are dished up perfectly. Hard to predict what the third part would be like after all the revelations.
