In this book, Elena is helping Yvette figure out how to use her magic. Yvette was given a book by her mother when she was 16, but it was encrypted. They are trying to figure out how to read the book. Come to find out, Yvette is half fee and half witch. And she is being chased and hunted by a gangster Rings who is married to her mother.

I really enjoyed the characters in this story. it was nice to get a closer look at the women from the first book. I will say that I had a hard time keeping track of the minor characters’ names. but it’s probably just me, it’s a common problem I have with audiobooks.
