The detective has chased every pattern there is in the book or criminal history and has caught even the deadliest of the criminals but never like this one that she faces here. It was at first just a routine case taken up by Kate Hayden and Theo Mazur. But as they witness one murder after the other the crime seem to resemble certain cases that they have solved before.

The killer wanted the two detectives to come to him and it was a game set for them. They were never going close the murderer it was he who was approaching them step after step. Kate tries to narrow the one down and Theo is trying to protect the love of his life rather than trying to solve the case. Mary Burton has done it again after Before She Dies and Cover Your Eyes no one was expecting another master blaster from the author that would surpass those novels. Teri Schnaubelt has taken the steering wheel of the narration and the narrator too has tested his limits to the maximum for the psychological thriller.
