Five years after his band Ares became a huge hit, Ben Easton is struggling. He hides in a mansion in Los Angeles while battling depression and a dark drug addiction that threatens to destroy everything.

In a last-ditch attempt to save Ben’s life, his best friend Tone did something desperate – he called Ben’s ex-boyfriend Stan and begged him for help. Stan Novikov is living in New York and developing his career as a fashion journalist. He hasn’t returned to London since he and Ben split, but it seems like the right place to go – along with Tone – to try to convince Ben to break away from his unhealthy lifestyle.

The band had to finish their album by Christmas, but without Ben, the work was put on hold. Ben must decide if he will stay with Ares and continue making music or find another path for his future. One that may include only Stan.

This is the sequel I didn’t even know I needed! OH! This takes Ben and Stan’s relationship to the next level. When The Lost Boy ended, I was HEA but I didn’t know the story was far from over. Book two takes it to the next level. I’m new to Anna Martin and I’m so glad I discovered her. She is a great storyteller and is currently at the top of my favorites list after listening to The Impossible Boy, followed by The Lost Boy. I even loved the second book more than the first because their relationship deepened and matured. Characters have been added and this couple deserves a sequel…. I love them so much! I stumbled upon this series because Dan Calley is the narrator, so I don’t need to tell you how much I love his performances and interpretations. He is a master storyteller! Don’t hesitate to click this one!!

Honestly, Impossible Boy is my all-time favorite book. I was really nervous to see that Anna Martin wrote its sequel. I just don’t think there can be any better. I was so wrong, this book is as good as the first one. It’s been five years since the band Aires was a huge hit. Fame and fortune are not easy for them. Ben has developed a habit of using drugs, he and Stan are separated. Stan is in New York with a successful career in fashion. When Tone calls to worry about Ben, Stan flies to California and together they bring Ben back to the house in London where they met. The book is about finding the strength and courage not only to live but to love again. Thanks Anna, you are right, I love it.
