The Lost City of Ithos – Audiobook Online

The “Mage Errant” series is a fantasy series written by John Bierce. It follows the story of Hugh of Emblin, a young man who discovers his magical abilities and embarks on a journey to become a mage. Set in a world where magic is regulated by strict laws and controlled by powerful organizations, the series explores themes of self-discovery, friendship, and the pursuit of knowledge.

Throughout the series, Hugh faces various challenges and encounters dangerous enemies as he navigates the complex world of magic. He attends the Academy of Sages, where he learns to harness his magical powers and develops relationships with fellow students. As the story progresses, Hugh becomes entangled in political intrigue and uncovers secrets that could change the course of his world.

While I cannot provide a detailed summary of “The Lost City of Ithos,” it is likely that this installment continues Hugh’s journey as he faces new obstacles and delves deeper into the mysteries surrounding magic and his own abilities. The book may explore new locations, introduce new characters, and further develop the overarching plot of the series.

If you are interested in reading “The Lost City of Ithos” or any other book in the “Mage Errant” series, I recommend checking online bookstores or local libraries for more information and availability.

Half a millennium ago, in a desperate attempt to defeat the Ithonian Empire, Kanderon Crux and her allies expelled the Ithos Empire city from the world of Anastis.

Her fearsome weapon, the Exile Splinter, even erases the memory of its location from the universe. Now it is coming back and bringing the Exile Splinter back.

The powers of the continent are aggressively hunting for the site of the lost city, knowledge lost even to Kanderon himself. No one knows what ancient Ithonian weapons and spells could still be found in the ruins, but the Exile Splinter alone would be a reward to justify war.

Hugh and his friends find themselves dragged on a quest, where they will have to face arch-enemies, sea monsters, lichens, unusual storms and even a tiger cannibalistic. However, there was one thing they weren’t told about the lost city… which even Kanderon and the other great powers feared.

Includes Murder at Ras Andis, an additional novel from the Mage Errant series, and a special author note.

It’s a solid book, looking at some of the reviews I feared the worst but this book is generally good. Looking forward to the next item.

I’m 35 and it’s perfectly legitimate for Hugh to “not feel worth anything” but at the same time being myself and it’s nice to be able to connect with a character, even though 16-17 years old lol. The book is heavy on relationships and the inner struggles each character is facing. It was a nice change of pace and helped me connect even more. I never felt this book was too long, it was welcomed in this respect and to be honest, it was very refreshing. I can’t wait to digest the next book, literally, crystal style.

I really liked this book. Progress has slowed down some, but it’s still interesting. Lots of battles in this book, with lots of new powerups to watch, so that’s exciting. I look forward to the next book.

I hope this series continues to prosper for the author, this is one of my favorite books in this style. All I want to hear is the adventures of this group of Misfits and what kind of stupid situations happen.
