The Princess Game: A Reimagining of Sleeping Beauty – Audiobook Online

“The Princess Game” is a retelling of the classic story of Sleeping Beauty, set in a world of four kingdoms. The story follows Princess Aurora, who is forced to play a complicated political game when her father, the king, arranges for her to marry a prince from a neighboring kingdom in order to secure an alliance. However, Aurora is determined to marry for love, not political advantage, and begins to devise a plan with the help of her friends. Along the way, Aurora discovers a hidden threat to her kingdom and must put aside her own desires to protect her people. The book explores themes of duty, loyalty, and self-discovery, as Aurora navigates the complex world of politics and learns to rely on her own strength and courage. The narrator, Esther Wane, brings the characters to life with her performance, creating a compelling and engaging listening experience. Overall, “The Princess Game” offers a fresh take on a classic story, with a strong heroine and an exciting plot that will keep listeners on the edge of their seats.

They call her the Sleeping Princess, but Celeste is far from sleeping…

Celeste has been cursed since her 16th birthday – not in the way the rest of the kingdom thinks. All they see is her breathtaking beauty, ruined by her stupidity. Only she knows that she still retains her smart mind. And it’s a secret she must keep at all costs.

Over the years, she got used to the necessary deception. After all, her life depends on it. And she even found a way to protect her kingdom, working from the shadows. But now, a dangerous new threat has emerged, one that Celeste cannot defeat alone. She needs the help of a newly arrived prince. Someone who is completely too handsome and too charming. Somehow, she needs to keep her secret, save her kingdom, and find a way to free herself from the curse. The last thing she has time to do is sleep.

In this reimagining of the classic fairy tale Sleeping Beauty, only the mind of the sleeping princess. And sometimes looks can be deceiving.

The fairy tales told by Melanie Cellier are always entertaining. You know that there will be a happy ending, there will be one True Love, and there will be a princess or soon to be princess. This book is one of my favorites in the Four Kingdoms series. The story is loosely linked to the story of Sleeping Beauty. The confusing thing is that the princess is cursed, but she doesn’t sleep. Celeste is more than a pretty face, but no one knows there’s more to it. There are also unexpected twists around the villain or villain of the story. It’s a fun and inexpensive book, so the price-to-entertainment ratio is excellent. Fast paced and fast turning pages.
