This difficult time holds many surprises, and in their darkest hour, the Morlands make a startling discovery that will help them face an uncertain future with new strength.
I have always lived historical fiction. This story is very good. I had serious feelings about some of the characters, which shows how invested I am.
I love Morland books. Each person is placed in its own time with people of their own who are connected to their family past and the people of their time.
I learned a lot of history from reading these books. I think they are well researched and give you a glimpse into the lives, times and events that have shaped them and our history.
I look forward to new books even as I regret that time is running out. I think the Cynthia Harrod Eagles are already in the 1920s.
Good and accurate historical research makes for an interesting book. I only kept 5 stars because I found the spelling mistakes and the way the sentence construction was so bad. Obviously autocorrect! Shame on being distracting while reading.
