A dozen years of peace have passed in the city of White Gryphon – providing much-needed and well-deserved safety for those who lost their homes in the magical cataclysm that killed Mage Urtho, the creator of the beasts. master degree. But the inhabitants of White Gryphon have not forgotten their long struggles and have trained an elite force of defenders, the Silver Gryphons, to defend their city and, if need be, to join the team. troops of the Black Kings to defend together.
I totally agree with Paul’s assessment – this cover is brutal! Not a single character in the book is related to the male character (originally used for Lindsay Buroker’s “Shattered Past”). And the eagle looks a bit like a gryphon. Please find a more suitable image for this audiobook.
Tad is soon Skan’s and is tired of being the son of the Black Gryphon. He and Blade are sent on their first solo mission. A great story and it also features Skan and Amberdrake. Great narration. What a great ending to a great trio. I loved the book when I first read it and love it now. A thrilling adventure. definitely recommend
This book, like the rest in the series, is excellent. I have loved Misty’s work for many years, and her “gryphon” series is one of her best. In fact, I could wish there were more stories about that time in her Velgarth books. But it’s neither here nor there. I just have one question for Audible or anyone making the following decisions:
What the hell is the guy on the cover supposed to be? I think someone missed a memo somewhere, or didn’t actually listen to the book, because Silverblade, the main character, is definitely female! No offense to the model or anything, but he’s not going to overtake a young woman with that beard any time soon!
Gryphons of any color, lol! Really, all of the Mage Wars series are worth reading. It was interesting to read the beginning of Lackey’s Velgarth series. She has built a huge world of books that I will at least want to re-read for a very long time.
