Against a backdrop of Venice’s wandering canals, winding Tuscan fields and charming Amalfi Coast villages, romantic flowers, found destinies and unearthed family secrets – secrets can threaten a family more than a centuries-old curse.
I think this will be an interesting book. It’s more than that. I found myself laughing out loud, disgusted, and cheering on a few characters. I also found myself shedding a few tears. The author has interwoven the past with the present very well. I wouldn’t give it away, but there was a twist that I didn’t expect. First time reading this author and enjoyed her writing style.
While we can quickly figure out part of the plot, we certainly can’t predict how it will unfold. Lots of twists and turns and it all comes together well in the end. Great performance with all Italian and German nuances. Thanks for the entertainment.
I love the plot and the two readers are great. Especially love Paolina’s voice and the seamless transitions. I laughed and cried throughout the chapters. When it ended, I listened to it again to hear it from a different perspective and enjoyed it even more.
Love this well told story – it’s so good and I would highly recommend it. The portraits of the characters are excellent. Beautiful writing. The characters are well developed and believable. The narration was wonderful. I laughed and I cried. The Italian description is spot on.
Absolutely amazing. Instantly added to my favorites list. The author makes you feel like you are in Italy with the characters. Joining a book club has made me extremely critical of books and I can’t think of anything negative to say about this book. I even bought it as a paperback after listening to it to add to my collection.
